Matthew J. Uyemura M.D.
Dr. Uyemura began practicing in Greeley in 1999. After graduating from Greeley Central High School he earned his bachelors and medical degrees from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Uyemura did his internship at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center and then spent a year at Fort Greely, Alaska as a general medical officer. He then completed his ophthalmology residency at Fitzsimons and practiced ophthalmology at Fort Leonard Wood Missouri prior to returning to Greeley. He was board certified in 1996. Dr. Uyemura is past-president of the Weld County Medical Society and is also active in the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Colorado Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Dr. Uyemura lives on a small farm with his wife, Julie, and their five children. |

Rochelle J. Brotsky, M.D.Dr. Brotsky earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she was also a member of the varsity women’s golf team. She completed her medical degree at the University of South Dakota. Her internship was done at Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans, Louisiana, followed by her ophthalmology residency at Louisiana State University. She earned the award for best clinical research in her final year. Dr. Brotsky is a member of the Colorado Medical Society, American Academy of Ophthalmology, and a board member of the Colorado Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Brotsky and her husband live in Windsor. |
